A Welcome Message from the Director

rock_kidIf you are looking for a gentle, fun but comprehensive introduction to learning an instrument for children aged 5 and up then you have come to the right place.

Our lessons are exciting, varied, challenging and unique, are excellent value for money and will endeavour to set your child on a musical path they will never forget. I have designed the course as, through my own extensive training as a musician, I understand the importance of children learning to read and write music.

What makes us a successful company? We love what we do, we care about who does it and we are delighted to see children succeed. It really is as simple as that.

We hope you enjoy our website and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

What's Happening at Funky Monkey?

Funky Monkey Keyboard Classes continue to inspire children all over London and Kent. Now the 2010 term is upon us and fresh talents will be just waiting to be found! We would like to congratulate our superstar all boys class in East Dulwich for fantastic pre-grade one results from Trinity Guildhall. 2 pupils gained 'merits' and 2 gained 'distinctions', one score was the highest Funky Monkey score recorded of a whopping 90%! We have now invited them to continue to Grade One, as they achieved so well at entry level.

Our ever popular BEGINNER'S EASTER COURSES are now booking - please visit our 'School Holiday Workshop' section for full details. Just £109 for the week in Herne Hill, Streatham or Sevenoaks. Places have already been snapped up, so make us part of your Easter plans!

Our Saturday school in Herne Hill is running really well and we will be filling the 1-2pm class after a very successful recruitment into the 12-1pm class, so drop us a line if you'd like to join. We are also now up and running in West Malling, Kent, as we are started on Wednesday 3rd March 4pm-5pm at West Malling Village Hall. There are still a few places available, so book yourself in!

If you belong to a school that you think would like keyboard lessons, then follow the example of schools such as Corpus Christi, Sudbourne, John Ball (London), Langton Green and Groombridge St Thomas (Kent) and let us provide a first rate service as a unique after-school club.

We are also looking at our long term ambitions, and are currently researching the idea of licensing the company. If you think you would be interested in taking part in a pilot scheme, please do get in touch with us. You need keyboard skills to Grade 5, a love of music along with good people skills and basic business acumen.
